Prudence is a health advocate, journalist, and communications strategist who is dedicated to fostering conversations that fundamentally place people at the centre of health. She is an advocate and media professional, having developed and directed advocacy campaigns that help voices in the community to be amplified, policy issues formed, and health system challenges highlighted in Nigeria.
Prudence has built experience across editorial work, social media strategy, event coverage, radio and TV hosting, as well as visual production. At Nigeria Health Watch, she has developed social media toolkits for national & subnational policy dialogues, scripted mini-documentaries, and crafted human-centered advocacy campaigns that address maternal health, gender equality, primary healthcare, and sustainable health financing. She also works closely with journalists and community reporters, training them to use storytelling as a tool for accountability and change.
In recognition of her leadership and impact, Prudence was selected as a Fellow in the inaugural EmpowerHer Fellowship by Women in Global Health Nigeria. Through this program, she has collaborated with a network of young women leaders committed to advancing equity, amplifying women’s voices in health leadership, and driving action on pressing global health challenges.
At the heart of her work is storytelling; transforming technical data and policy documents into compelling narratives that resonate with policymakers, health professionals, and the public. Whether through live event coverage, explainer videos, or advocacy campaigns, Prudence brings a forward-thinking yet grounded approach: ensuring that health communication does not stop at awareness but drives meaningful change.
