Fatima Gidado is the founder of MedForHer, an initiative dedicated to raising awareness on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) with a focus on women and girls in Northern Nigeria. With a background in Medical Biotechnology, Fatima is passionate about advancing health equity by addressing gaps in prevention, early detection, and advocacy around conditions such as diabetes and sickle cell disease.

Through MedForHer, she leads campaigns, community outreach, and partnerships that empower women and young people with knowledge and access to better health resources. Her vision is to grow MedForHer into a platform that not only drives impactful advocacy but also creates opportunities for employment and capacity-building in the health sector.

As a Women in Global Health (WGH) fellow, Fatima continues to champion the role of women in transforming health systems, ensuring that no woman or girl is left behind in the fight against NCDs.
